Claire is an award-winning journalist, documentary cameraperson and producer specializing in filming in challenging environments—from conflict in the streets to life-changing private journeys. She has worked in over 30 countries and typically operates as lead camera in small crews. She was one of the founding members of VICE News and served as a producer/shooter and writer for many years before specializing as a director of photography.
She has taught journalism courses at the UBC School of Journalism and the University of King’s College, and taught master classes in shooting/producing at various universities.
